Is It Safe to Mix Alcohol and Viagra?

Drinking alcohol in moderation appears to be safe while taking generic Viagra. There appears to be no clear evidence that Viagra worsens the risk of alcohol consumption. A study published in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics Trusted Source found no side effects between Viagra and red wine. But, research on this topic is limited so far.

Just because Viagra and alcohol don’t appear to interact with each other doesn’t mean that they are used together. This is because chronic alcohol consumption is a common cause of ED. The slang term for ED to be “Brewer’s Drop” in the UK and US is very common. When using Viagra to treat ED, you can harm yourself by mixing the drug with alcohol.

However, the interaction between the two drugs and their respective effects on the body must be considered when combining alcohol and generic Viagra. First, alcohol can worsen the side effects of Viagra, even if you drink in moderation, which is considered safe.

Second, alcohol can make ED medications  unusable. Viagra can be used to treat erectile dysfunction. When the drug is used for entertainment, it is also used to promote long-term erections. However, alcohol slows down certain functions in the body, including blood flow, which can impair the effects of Viagra.

How Viagra works

Viagra is the branded version of the drug Sildenafil Citrate. Originally developed to treat high blood pressure and chest pain. However, clinical studies show that it is not as effective as drugs that are already on the market. However, study participants showed an unusual side effect: a significant increase in erections. In 1998, Viagra became the first oral medication approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of ED.

The Vale Cornell School of Medicine reports that Viagra works for about 65 percent of the men who try it. This is done by blocking PDE5. This is an enzyme that prevents increased blood flow to the penis during an erection.

Can Viagra be consumed with alcohol?

Viagra treatment is the most famous for men with erectile dysfunction. However, alcohol is one of the reasons you can experience erectile dysfunction. Although alcohol can help you deal with anxiety, it can also affect your sexual function.

Alcohol consumption can affect the large hormone-producing glands in the brain, resulting in decreased testosterone secretion and possibly ED induction. It is also thought that alcohol levels can affect the nerves in the penis that cause an erection, but the exact way alcohol causes ED is not known. If you are taking generic viagra pills  because you have had erection problems in the past, you should avoid alcohol.

In addition, alcohol and Viagra (and similar products such as Viagra Connect or Sildenafil) can interact. Viagra lowers your blood pressure as well as alcohol. If your blood pressure is too low, you may experience dizziness, fainting, headaches, and even a pounding heart. Not only is the side effect of Viagra potentially dangerous, but it also doesn’t improve your sexual performance.
